Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
> £50 Both Ears
> £30 Single Ear
If upon examination, we discover that you have no wax to remove but are still experiencing hearing loss, then we will recommend that you visit an Audiologist for a hearing test and we will only charge a nominal fee of £10.00 to cover the cost of fuel.
If upon examination we discover that you have no wax to remove but have an infection, then we will recommend that you visit your GP.
Occasionally, it may take more than one visit to remove all the wax however you will only pay one fee. The best way to promote quick and thorough removal of wax at the first appointment is too properly soften the wax by using olive oil.
How long will it take?
Please allow up to 30 minutes for your appointment. The treatment cost is the same whether the treatment takes up a percentage of your appointment time or requires the full alloted time.
Preparation
Please use an olive oil spray such as Earol (that is available from most pharmacies) or olive oil drops in your ears for at least 5 to 7 days before treatment because this helps with the removal of hardened or impacted wax. Please do not use any pharmacutical product that includes chemicals in your ear because this can cause irritation and does not soften the wax for removal.
Payment Methods
We accept payment by cash, cheque or BAC's transfer. Please make the full payment on the day of your treatment (we may make alternative arrangements if we are visiting you at a nursing home).
Can we treat children?
Yes, we can treat children who are 14 years or older, if accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is for safeguarding purposes.
